What Is the Soul?

The existence of the soul is the basis for modern religion and spirituality. It doesn't matter if you're Christian, Muslim or Buddhist, most religions believe in that transient part of our being that will exist beyond the grave. Although the soul is commonly spoken of, none of the major religious books of the world give a clear description of exactly what the souls is, and where it exists within the human body.

When most people speak of the soul, they normally imagine a ghostly image of their physical bodies arising from their corpse at the moment of death. This view has largely been perpetuated the increasing number of near death experiences (NDE's) as well as the interpretation of the description of the resurrected Jesus mentioned in the New Testament. Both of these resources portray the soul as an energy-based impression of the human form. But are these interpretations accurate? If we read the New Testament accounts of the resurrected Jesus closely, we will find that nowhere in the account do we read that what the apostles say was the actual soul of Jesus. In fact, what was seen was actually just a manifestation of his physical form. Aside from this, NED's can actually be criticized and characterized as fraudulent due to the fact that they can't be verified. The bible says that no man can see God and live. To see God is to leave the body at physical death. It is impossible to leave the body and come back to continue the life that you were living prior to complete death. Death isn't the stopping of the heart, or the shutting down of the brain; death is the complete ceasing of all bodily functions. Some have even said that the soul doesn't even leave the body until rigor mortis begins to set. In any case, it is practically impossible to come back to life after you have completely died. Therefore it is impossible to see God and live.

Whenever complete death occurs, something leaves the body in a complete state of emptiness. After spending over a decade of my life working in healthcare, I've seen numerous people die, and there is something that leaves them at the time of death. Dead bodies are void of all forms of life in terms of energy. The body is a ship and the soul is the captain. Once the captain abandons ship, the ship will eventually sink, or in the terms of death, decay. What we refer to as the soul is actually the energy of creation. The cells of the body are constantly recreating themselves, thus prolonging the life of the body. Our bodies are recreated on a daily basis.

We are all given the energy of creation. This energy not only tells the body to stay alive, but it also tells the body when to stop living. The soul is God within the body. The Eternal Father controls the universe to such a minute level that He has placed portions of the energy of creation within the human vessel to operate as Lord of the body.
